One Mom's Story: Nicole and Baby Casey

*In the video above, Nicole shows how fast Colic Calm soothes her baby, Casey.

Nicole had it pretty easy with her first son--he was a great baby that rarely cried. So when Casey was born, she thought that maybe his constant crying was normal. She soon figured out that inconsolable crying couldn't be normal. Nicole tells of those first weeks like this, "It is terrible to say but we were sooo miserable. You want the first weeks with your new baby to be lovely and memorable. Instead we were wishing them away. My husband slept on a different floor. My 2-year-old would cover his ears. I would cry. I felt like a failure. I'd think: He's fed, he's dry, he's swaddled, he has a pacifier, he's in my arms. . . why can't I help him stop crying?! I felt like no one wanted to be around us. I had every baby book opened to the colic chapters. I queried my friends. I didn't know what to do. My husband had a tough time connecting with him, which really upset me. I took it personally and felt he was rejecting our son. But it was hard to bond with him since he was never happy or at ease. If he was awake he was crying."

So one night, when Casey was about three weeks old, she started to Google colic remedies and up popped Colic Calm. At first, Nicole thought that $20.00 was a bit steep, but after reading testimonial after testimonial, she decided that it would be worth it. Nicole immediately went to her local CVS and bought a bottle, came home, and gave it to Casey. In her eagerness, she didn't read the directions closely enough and gave him too much. She says, "I stupidly gave him too high of a dose and administered it too quickly, which made him vomit. Of course I thought it didn't work! After three weeks passed . . . many difficult nights, in-laws almost taking him to the hospital, my own parents telling me something must be wrong with my milk, I tried it again. And actually read the directions closely. It worked. Casey went from screaming to pensive and relaxed, in seconds."

Today, Nicole gives Casey Colic Calm usually after a feeding, when, as she says, he's his crankiest. She goes on to say that Casey usually only needs a dose in the evening, his "witching hour" and this is only a couple times a week. When asking how Casey is now, Nicole answers, ". . . he is a different baby. Smiling all the time. Quietly alert. Sleeping well. If he has moments of colic, Colic Calm cures him almost instantly. [See video above.] Only one time did we have to give him three doses back to back. Usually it only takes one."
