One Mom's Story: Rebecca and Baby Kevin

For this week's One Mom's Story, Rebecca tells about her son, and life before and after Colic Calm in her own words. From Rebecca: Kevin is my second child and he was born prematurely at 36 weeks. I knew we where going to have complications because I was diagnosed with a Single Umbilical Artery (SUA), which means that instead of a three vessels umbilical cord my son only had two vessels. My baby had a 75% chance of being a normal baby and 25% that he would have a birth defect such as heart defects, gastrointestinal tract abnormalities and problems with the central nervous system. My husband and I are very Blessed that he was, for the most part,

in good health. Unfortunately, two months later he started showing signs of seizures. Or so we thought--to our surprise the seizures were diagnosed as acid reflex. He was in the hospital for five days before the doctor finally was able diagnose him. Kevin was prescribed Zantac and Reglan. Reglan is used to relieve heartburn and speed the healing of ulcers and sores in the esophagus. Reglan has very dangerous side effects--uncontrollable muscle movement, tremors, fever, stiff muscles, anxiety, agitation--the symptoms go on and on. I was very terrified and was not sure if I wanted to take the risk of exposing my son to any of the above side effects. So after a long stay in the hospital I started researching other options. Kevin was the perfect baby. He would mostly sleep, but he refused to eat. After the doctor started the medication Kevin became very groggy and stopped eating all together. That is when I came across Colic Calm’s web page. I read people's testimonies and noticed that the ingredients where all herbal. Therefore, I did not think twice and saw I had nothing to lose; he was already taking medication that could cause more harm than good and his health was on the line because he did not want to eat. After my third day at home with my son and experiencing how he was suffering with the medication, I decided to order Colic Calm.
