The Ultimate Baby Registry Checklist

The Ultimate Baby Registry Checklist

You’re going to meet your new baby so soon! It’s exciting and nerve wracking, all at the same time. Preparing for another human to enter your life is a big transition and being prepared for him or her to arrive is important.

One great way to be prepared for your new baby is to create a baby registry that includes many of the important items that you need. Bassinets, onesies, bottles, pacifiers, formula... the list seems to go on and on!

We wanted to simplify the process for you and create a list of important baby items. That’s why we have created a baby registry guide with a checklist. Print off the checklist we’ve included to be sure you don’t miss any of the items we suggest.

Where can I create my baby registry?

There are several places to create a baby registry. Many department stores, such as Walmart and Target, have a registry program of their own. A lot of registries will even off a free gift when you create a registry with them, so be sure to read the fine print about what is and isn’t included when selecting a registry. Below is a list of eight popular baby registry websites.

1. Amazon
2. Target

3. Buy Buy Baby

4. Walmart

5. Babylist

6. Pottery Barn Kids

7. MyRegistry.com

8. Crate & Kids

What should I add to my baby registry?

Since the number of items you’ll need to care for your baby can sometimes seem daunting, we’ve separated the baby registry items into different categories.

For the Nursery:

• Waterproof Fitted Sheets

◦ Waterproof fitted sheets are ideal for babies because they don’t leak and protect your baby from germs in the mattress. They also have a tight elastic band for durability and safety. We love these crib sheets that are lightweight and doubly reinforced.

• Nightlight

◦ When trying to wind your child down for the night, it’s helpful to have a nightlight. You can turn the overhead lights off and still have some light to see where you’re walking. We love this nightlight that also pairs as a sound machine to soothe your baby.

• Hamper

◦ It’s convenient to toss your baby’s dirty clothing into a laundry hamper during changing times. We love this hamper with tons of fun patterns and colors to choose from.

• Video Baby Monitor

◦ Seeing your baby in his or her nursery gives you the peace of mind to know your baby is ok. A baby monitor helps you to see how your baby is doing instead of walking into your baby’s room and worrying about waking him or her up. This baby monitor is easy to install and has a high-capacity battery as well as two way talking.

• Sound Machine
